IIRC it's influenced by bits of Iceland, Skye and the orkneys/shetlands for a fairly generic "north Atlantic island" look. I think it is literally just the Isle of Skye, the whole vibe is shared

I do think FH4's map has a bit more detail, at least when it comes to roadside objects. FH4's map definitely has a lot more houses and buildings lining roads. Meanwhile, FH5's map has many more varied environments, and its proper "cities" are bigger and more detailed than FH4's.
