If you ran it dry of diesel it will need bled, it can take a long time to bleed/ be difficult to start - how did you know the filter is full? - if it is because you took it off, the system will need bled again, without a hand primer pump or a bulb the system is bled by cranking the engine, the battery is liable to go flat before the system is bled and the engine starts - so its a good idea to

To start, you need 300 bar rail pressure, a crank/cam correlation signal to fire injectors and good battery voltage. I suspect you have all of these and the injectors aren't doing anything. I've seen it time and time again with customers supplying their own injectors, I've fitted them and a no start result.

My mondeo mk4 2008 2.0tdci has some starting problems, there are days where it start without problems at all, like a new car, but from time to time after few starts there is a dodgy one, it cranks up longer than usual and literally when the engine starts it cough's once.
ford mondeo - Another dodgy mondeo tdci, wont start. I just took a 2003 Mondeo tdci, 130bhp model in p/ex. It came as a non runner (kind of) with 2 sets of injectors and 2 HP fuel pumps. the car would tow off and run fairly smooth at low revs, anything over 2500 rpm and it would cut out and need towing / bumping again.

Hi there, As the title suggests, I'm having trouble starting my MK4 after driving it for a while and it gets warm/hot. The car starts perfectly when cold, or after it has been left to cool off, but it will either take a long time to start (5-6 seconds) when hot, or, if it's hot enough, it won't start at all, although it always does crank. .
