I have a 2012 Q5, build date: Mar. 2012. I replaced chain and tensioners at 60,000. Mine had an old style chain and new style tensioner. Photo shows new chain laying atop old chain. There are tons of articles on the many timing chain problems with certain motors and accompanying costs.
